UNDP works in about 170 countries and territories, helping to eradicate poverty, reduce nequalities and exclusion, and build resilience so countries can sustain progress. As the UN’s development agency, UNDP plays a critical role in helping countries achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

As the lead United Nations agency on international development, UNDP works in 170 countries and territories to eradicate poverty and reduce inequality. We help countries develop policies, leadership skills, partnerships and institutional capabilities to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Our work is centred around six core development areas, known as our signature solutions: poverty and inequality, governance, resilience, environment, energy and gender equality.

UNDP Seoul Policy Centre

USPC is one of the Global Policy Centres of UNDP – the United Nations lead agency on international development, working in 170 countries and territories to eradicate poverty and reduce inequality. We are an integral part of UNDP’s Global Policy Network, which draws on expertise globally to provide effective responses to the complex development challenges countries face in achieving SDGs and responding to crisis.

Based on UNDP’s work in Korea in the course of its socio-economic development, we facilitate knowledge exchange to create new solutions, build collaborative platforms and spark new partnerships and instruments for development. We are co-funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea and UNDP, and hosted by Korea University.

IMPACT SQUARE

IMPACT SQUARE is a pioneering social innovation organization that creates sustainable value by bridging social impact and business success. We serve both corporations and startups through our expertise in ESG consulting and social innovation. Having supported over 700 startups and invested in more than 60 ventures, we are expanding our impact across Southeast Asia through various initiatives and collaboration with Youth Co:Lab, focusing on strengthening local value chains and community development.

Impact Square has been operating the Impact Challenge at SEA (ICAS) since 2022—an initiative designed to discover, support, and invest in high-potential impact startups across Southeast Asia. Through ICAS, we offer selected startups access to capital, acceleration support, and impact measurement, while fostering collaboration with regional investors, corporates, and development partners.
